Weekend Inspiration: Menswear

Hey LeMahogany Readers!

This weekend I woke up with the question of what a LeMahogany Man would look like? This is a very challenging question because I honestly do not know.  Handsome and strong are give ins but....how would he dress, his style? As I work on perfecting my Men Illustrations  I decided to do some inspiration seeking.  I am huge fan of Ozwald Boateng and finally had gotten a chance to watch is documentary entitled "A Man's Story"   It's a great documentary and recommend it to anyone who doesn't know about him as an amazing British Menswear Designer and Artist.

And who doesn't love Suit&Tie hit song by Justin Timberlake ft Jay-Z!  I really can not wait to see this song visually.

As I continue to scourer GQ Magazines and other Menswear websites and blogs for inspiration of the LeMahogany Man..I have the ask another question is The Dapper making a come back for 2013?
I certainly hope so! ^_^

The Gentleman Theory: My Fall 13' Menswear Favorite Burberry

I absolutely love a man who knows how to dress. A well dressed man really heightens the or my senses.  It's sort of a radar for me: a tailored single breasted slate grey suit with a Windsor knotted tie. (Nostrils flared)  Or a relaxed style of a crisp white button down shirt with a black skinny tie and black creased dress pant....(already drooling).  Men's fashions has really evolved.

Over the past years it seems men are sort of stepping up their game when it comes to how they look. Details are being payed attention to.  Groomings are a must instead of when you would need to go somewhere nice.  The Basketball and Football jerseys are now strictly for the courts or games instead worn out in public.

Should we thank Mr. Beckham or Mr. West for making fashion a second sense to have?  Is it now a turn to the modern day dapper?

I decided to take my turn at illustrating men to see what I come up with......drawing men is more difficult then I thought............. I am practicing. ^_^

Style of a Man- Ozwald Boateng Inspiration

Every now and then I will pick up a GQ magazine or Esquire magazine because well I am curious about men's style (and inside a man's mind, some articles can be very insightful) but, that is besides the point.  I am pretty sure every woman could agree a man in a well-fitted sport jacket can be a neck turner.  All of sudden your senses are heightened when a well dressed man walks by.  You sort of adjust yourself a bit just to get a better glimpse at his physique. The fit of jacket, well tailored pant...Is it European or American cut....No, Ralph Lauren purple label .....No, maybe its something you never heard of but, you know it did not come from Men's Warehouse. (Unless he has an amazing tailor) Or maybe its from the Devon Scott Collection.  Never heard of him?  Yeah me either.  But, his website has some amazing pieces for men.  Devon Scott

And then, there's Ozwald Boateng

A man after my own Le Mahogany Fashionista heart.  I had found my very first man illustration and decided to put it in my Etsy shop.  On Sale Now! It's entitled: My Man. Lol!

My Man
So there you have ladies and gents. My first post on Men's Style.  On several occasions I have had to tell a boyfriend or two that they need to change something that they thought they were going to wear out in public.  SMH. Nope that with me. lol!  (Quick Change) So, this post is dedicated to all the stylish men out there that know their style and carry it with confidence.  I see you. :)

Yes! I do love a well dressed man!

I am just being honest...nothing like a well dressed man to heighten the senses.  Great fitted jacket, suit, pants on man's physique (no matter what size a man is) could really kick up the appearance ALOT.  I mean...really guys..baggy pants should only be worn around the house or working out.  NOT out in public unless you want to be fined (in some states) for you not knowing how to find the right size to fit your behind.  If you are seriously over the age of 25 years old still wearing you pants around you hips. That's an epic #FAIL on your part.  So, I took a look at some the Men's Spring 2011 Fashion Shows and found some very intriguing pieces from some of my favorite Menswear designers.
